How can other individuals, churches and associations become partners with The Living Water EFC?

i. Join us as a member of the core group. If you are a potential church leader, you are welcome
ii. Pray for all the needs we have. These needs include human and financial resources that relate to the ministries and programs of this church
iii. Give to support financial and/or material needs. Would you pray about how God would have you support this church? Would you consider giving $5, $25, $50, $100, $200, $500 or more per month? If God leads you to give a one-time gift to support any church ministry and program, or cover any expense, please feel free to do so
iv. Speak to your church on our behalf. Whether you live in Des Moines area or in another location, we would love the opportunity to share with your church or small group about this Ministry. Would you speak to your pastor or missions director about having us come and speak?
v. Host a church planting house party. This is one thing you can do if you find that you are unable to give monetarily to the work. It’s very simple: you invite your family and friends over to your home for coffee/dinner or both. We will come and share about the Ministry.

How do I become a member of the Living Water EFC?

i. To become an effective member of the Living Water EFC, a prospective member shall submit to the board of elders an application for membership.
ii. The applicant will participate in membership classes (instruction)
iii. The applicant will meet with three elders to review the application and interview the applicant to ascertain whether s/he meets the membership requirements.
iv. When the board of elders is in full agreement of the applicant’s qualifications as stated in article 6 of the constitution, they will recommend that person to the congregation for membership
v. An applicant will be accepted as a member by ¾ majority vote of the members voting by show of hands at a congregational meeting
vi. Those accepted will be welcomed and given the “right hand of fellowship” at the following Sunday service Click here to download application form

How do I become a Christian and have eternal life with God?

Maybe you are reading this page and you have not received Jesus as your personal savior yet! Please, grasp a Bible and read the following lines, they will help you!

  • Do you believe that God loves you and wants you to have eternal life? John 3:16
  • Do you believe that you have sinned? 1 John 1:8,10
  • Do you believe your sins have separated you from God? Romans 3:23
  • Do you believe that your sins have earned you eternal punishment? Romans 6:23
  • Do you believe that doing good works can save you from sins? Ephesians 2:8-9
  • Do you believe that Jesus is God’s son? John 20:31
  • Do you believe that Jesus died on a cross for your sins? Romans 5:8
  • Do you believe that God raised Jesus from the dead? 1 Corinthians 15:3-4
  • Do you believe that Jesus is the only way to come to God?

John 14:6 John 3:16-18 (New International Version) “16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in HIM shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.”

– As you have finished reading these few verses, I want to assure you that only Jesus can save you from your sins and give you eternal life. But this good news about Jesus does not help you unless you put your faith in Jesus. Do you want to put your faith in Jesus to save you now?

– (If the answer is “Yes”) In the Bible, Romans 10:9 says, “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.” That is God’s promise to you! Would you like to tell God that you are now putting your faith in Jesus?

– (If the answer is “Yes”) I will help you to talk to God by leading you in a prayer. Saying the words of a prayer does not save you. Only faith in Jesus saves you. As you pray, God is looking at your heart for faith in Jesus. Now, please pray this prayer to God, saying each part and meditating:
“God,
/ Thank you for loving me. /
/ I know that I have sinned against you. /
/ I believe that your son Jesus /
/ died on the cross /
/ to pay for my sins, /
/ and that You raised Jesus from the dead. /
/ I now put my faith /
/ only in Jesus /
/ to forgive me /
/ and save me from my sins. /
/ I confess that Jesus is Lord. /
/ Thank you for Your gift of eternal life. /
/ I pray in Jesus’ name, /
/ Amen!” /

– Now that you have trusted in Jesus, do you believe that God has forgiven your sins and given you eternal life? Romans 6:47; 10:9

– Now, make a last step: go and join a Bible believing Christian church in your area. Share your testimony with God’s servants. They will help you and tell you how to remain faithful.

Maybe you are new and want to visit the Living Water E. Free! Are you wondering about our dress code? Absolutely, there is no rule. You will find people in coats with ties. Others will be in casual. You will meet ladies in skirts and a blouse and/or wrapped in their beautiful African sheet of cloth. So, don’t worry. Just put on anything that you feel comfortable with and that brings honor to our God.
